St Paul’s Cathedral [St Pauls Cathedral] BrE NAmE (alsoSt Paul’s)
a large cathedral in London, England. It was designed in the late 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren to replace a previous cathedral destroyed in the ↑Fire of London, and was completed in 1710. It has a large ↑dome, inside which is the famous ↑Whispering Gallery.
